Coming out of Westport, Absent (aka Patrick Struthers) is currently based in Christchurch, playing and producing a wide range of bass-heavy genres. You can expect him to bring many things to the decks in his DJ sets. His cutthroat style of mixing isn't for the faint-hearted. With that deep sub bass, long rolling baselines and filthy “riddims” he knows how to get the crowd moving. Patrick Struthers (Absent) embodies the spirit of D&B - uncompromising, inherently underground and refusing to play games. You'll regularly find Absent playing support for the likes of State of Mind, The Upbeats, The Prototypes, Ivy Lab, Emperor, Foreign Concept and many more.
