500 more tickets released for Fatboy Slim Christchurch gig

An extra 500 tickets have been added for Fatboy Slim’s Christchurch concert on Wednesday, boosting what will be the biggest show held at the city’s Gloucester Green.

Fatboy Slim is on a six-date tour of New Zealand, which started in Hamilton on Friday and finishes in Auckland at the Electric Garden festival on Saturday. The Christchurch concert sold out in 10 days, but more tickets have been added because of extra space and demand.

Endeavour Live event promoter Kyle Bell said the extra ticket sales were unplanned. “We initially agreed on the capacity with the agent but when we got to town, there was more room to release,” he said. In September, Bell said the site could fit 3000 but he did not want to push it past 2000 because they wanted a “nice, comfortable space for people”.

Tickets for the Christchurch show are available here.
